An inbound customer is a customer that arrived at your website, became aware of you and purchased from your company as result of your inbound marketing efforts. Inbound customers are important to your business because they demonstrate the effectiveness of your inbound marketing strategy and in general, cost much less to convert than customers gained via traditional marketing methods.

Customers received through inbound arrive because of interest in a content offer provided by your company. From there, inbound customers convert on a differing content offers as they move through the buyer’s journey and further into the sales funnel until ultimately converting into a customer.
An inbound customer became a customer in the first place by being nurtured through relevant content offers. Just because someone became a customer, doesn’t mean they will stay one. Create relevant content for your customer audience to help retain them.
