It’s something that organically happens; you might have had a very happy student who went and told his or her friends about the great learning atmosphere and all the sudden your school is type-casted.

I don’t think it’s the worst problem to have, but, lets face it, there are peaks and valleys when it comes to student flow and its important diversify services.

Let’s look at some good options for creating a new stream of revenue from your aviation school:

  • Aircraft Sales
  • Aircraft Maintenance & Repair
  • Aircraft Parts & Supplies
  • Aircraft Management

How many of these do you currently offer? How many do you want to be offering?

Now it’s time to start building a name for yourself off these services

I don’t know about you, but personally, when I buy, I look to the thought leaders. I want to make sure my decision is guided and can yield a positive experience.

There are a couple of ways to establish this thought leadership but the easiest and most efficient way is through blogging.

Think of yourself as a physics professor; if you teach physics you’re demanded to publish articles and papers. The more papers you publish the more of a thought leader you are.

For example, I am calling myself an expert on Red Giants as it pertains to hydrogen fusion, I better be writing new papers and articles on that topic.

Let’s pull that back to you; if you want your aviation school to be known for something other than your great lessons, start publishing content about it! If you want your new stream of revenue to be A, then start writing about A, if you want to be known for B, start talking about it.

However, make sure you don’t let those eyes on your site go to waste; leverage content offers to turn those views into leads, and soon you’ll be able to see that revenue stream turn into a revenue river.
